David Dennis, CPA Partner
David Dennis, CPA, Partner and Founder of Dennis & Associates, P.C., has more than 35 years of experience in accounting and has been in private practice for more than 25 years. The son of an accountant, David holds a B.S. in accounting from Suffolk University. David serves as the financial advisor and sits on the board of directors for several clients. He is also involved as a board member in several nonprofit organizations throughout the Boston area including the Chairman of the Board of Quincy College. Dianne DeVanna Center for Child Abuse and Neglect, Quincy Lions, Cerebral Palsy of Massachusetts, as well as and active committee member of many national and local professional organizations such as the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Massachusetts Society of Public Accountants.
John McManus, CPA Partner
John McManus, CPA, Partner at Dennis & Associates PC, has been at Dennis & Associates for more than fifteen years. He is responsible for managing the corporate tax side of the business and manages the accountants in the office. He has a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Bridgewater State University and an advanced Certificate of Accounting from UMASS Boston. John is on the advisory board of the Salvation Army of Quincy and is the treasurer of the Rotary Club in Quincy. He lives in Braintree with his wife, Erin, and their twin daughters, and enjoys playing golf and traveling in his spare time.
Josephine Vidal, Office Manager
Josephine Vidal has been the office manager of Dennis and Associates since its inception in 1994 and partner of Granite Payroll Associates Inc. Josephine has over thirty-five years of experience in administrative and payroll fields. Her previous employment was with the City of Boston, Sr. Bookkeeper for the National Guard Headquarters and bookkeeper for various CPA firms. Josephine holds the position of Treasurer for the Board of Directors for Maria Droste Counseling Services. She is also a Quincy Lion. Josephine was awarded the 2010 Maria Droste Award for her community service involvement. She is the mother of three children and resides in Holbrook with her husband Pete.
Jennifer Amate, Accountant and QuickBooks® Specialist, Partner
Jennifer Amate, Partner at Dennis & Associates PC, has been with Dennis & Associates PC since 2001 as an accountant and Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor. Jennifer works closely with our corporate clients for all their accounting, tax and QuickBooks needs. Jennifer is responsible for both on-site and in-house bookkeeping processes including QuickBooks setup, training and support and oversees the in-house bookkeepers. Jennifer also performs all the review and compilation engagements within the office. Jennifer graduated from Salve Regina University in 2003 with a B.S. in accounting. Jennifer started her career as an intern with Dennis & Associates in her junior and senior year of college and came on full time after graduation. Jennifer currently serves as the Treasurer of Quincy Network Connections, a subcommittee of the Quincy Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the Lion’s Club. She lives in Hingham with her son, Drew.
Judson Walton, CPA
Judson Walton has been with Dennis & Associates for over eleven years and has over forty five years of experience in public accounting with emphasis on tax preparation for individuals and closely-held businesses. He also has several years experience in private industry where he has served as controller. Jud graduated from the University of Massachusetts / Amherst where he received a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a major in accounting. Jud is responsible for the tax review function at Dennis & Associates.
Gregory Lamping, CPA, IAR, MSA, & MBA
Gregory Lamping has both public and corporate accounting experience. He got his undergraduate degree from Babson College and his graduate degrees from Suffolk University. Currently Greg serves as the treasurer for Weymouth Rotary. In May he officially became an investor advisor representative. He lives in the city of Weymouth with his wife Maggie and two children Zoe and Gabriella.
Sean Gallagher, Esq
Director and Corporate Counsel, A graduate of Clark University, (BA, 1983, Magna Cum Laude), and Suffolk University Law School (JD, 1988 Phi Delta Phi Honor Society), Sean focuses on new client relationships. An attorney for over 30 years he offers clients business support in a variety of areas. He serves on the board of directors of Granite Payroll Associates, and has served as a board member for the Friends of the Boston Harbor Islands and the Hingham Bay PHRF. He is a former Eagle Scout and an avid racer of Sail boats.
Karen L. Fechtor, CPA
Karen Fechtor, CPA is a graduate from the University of Southern California, Marshall school of business in accounting, summa cum laude. She started her career in public accounting at Deloitte & Touche. She transitioned from public accounting to her family-owned brokerage firm, Fechtor, Detwiler & Co., Inc. growing their business significantly through client acquisition and investment banking (IPO’s and private placements) for over a decade. She lived in San Francisco for four years working for a boutique brokerage firm that specialized in Silicon Valley undiscovered small public companies in the same role. She returned to Boston to start a family and returned to her family’s business. Karen has three adult children and resides in Needham. Karen has a passion for skiing and golfing along with her lifelong dedication to daily exercise.
Linda Turrell, Office Manager
Linda brings more than 20 years of senior management experience in a wide variety of businesses while serving in various accounting, finance, and office management positions. She has extensive knowledge and expertise in finance, operations, and human resources. She received her BSA and MBA from Suffolk University Sawyer School of Management and is Beta Gamma Sigma Member. Prior to joining our firm, Linda gained extensive experience in all areas of cash management including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash disbursements, budget management, financial statement preparation, and bank reconciliations. She has coordinated financial audits and has established and managed relationships with banking, insurance, legal and IT professionals.
Paul Santos, Tax Manager at Dennis & Associates PC
Paul delivers compliance, tax consulting and tax planning strategies for family-owned businesses in a variety of industries. He recommends solutions consistent with clients’ overall business objectives, best practices as well as compliance with all applicable tax laws. Paul values strategic tax planning because he understands how tax impacts decisions through all stages of a business life cycle. Clients value Paul’s personal approach and commitment to their success. Paul has gained over 20 years of experience in public accounting at national & regional firms. Paul is responsible for the tax review function at Dennis & Associates. He lives in Boston with his wife, Danielle, along with their two children. Paul loves Boston sports and likes playing golf and traveling in his spare time.
Richard Cabral started at Granite Payroll Associates in 2015 while earning his bachelor’s degree in Finance & Accounting from Bridgewater State University before joining the team at Dennis & Associates. He is currently studying for the CPA exam. Richard lives in Dartmouth with his wife Maddison and their son, Richard IV.
Anne Forde has worked in various business industries in the US and in Ireland. She graduated Summa Cum Laude in Business Management. Her roles in the different industries enables her to transition from one department to another with ease. She works with the team in the front office to assist clients in all facets of their business and tax issues.
Kerri O’Neil, CPA
Kerri O’Neil has her CPA license and works as a bookkeeper. She has experience with public accounting and with internal and external financial reporting at financial institutions. She got her undergraduate degree from Boston College.
